Jamil Houston (also known as Godssoneli) is an American singer- songwriter and beat maker from Atlanta, GA. He specializes in pop R&B, with a chill-electronic blend. His voice sounds like Eric Bellinger, John Legend and The Weenknd. His music is influenced by artists and producers like H.E.R, Marvin Gaye, Max Martin and London On Da Track and Timbaland.

At an early youth he lost both of his ears and grandmother during a dog attack. With the help of his doctors, family and faith in Jesus, Jamil pressed on. He ultimately discovered music was his natural passion.

Jamil began writing songs at age 13 and went on to graduate college with a bachelor’s in Sound Design; 2018. While in college he released 2 albums ‘WAVE’ - Jamil; 2015 and ‘Grounded’ - Eli Limaj; 2017 (These releases are no longer available to public).

After college Jamil moved to his birth town, Atlanta, GA to dive deeper into the music industry. He started from the fundamentals, by interning in studios where he learned from audio engineering, mixing and music supervision professionals. He was able to watch iconic artists, songwriters and producers such as Elton John, Donald Glover, TI, Mike Will Made It, J-White Did It and many more work in real time.

Jamil took a step back in search of more depth and inspiration. In doing so he later joined the US Army as a part time soldier.
Today Jamil Houston continues to be a warrior and student of life. Bringing his fight to the music, he uses everything he’s learned to write new songs. His goal is to have music that fits almost every moment that comes with life.
